For anyone who has ever pointed at the moon and meant it.
Pip, a small fox in a mustard scarf, finds a sunflower-gold balloon that wants to visit the moon. They float through a hillside night, share a cookie on silver dust, and come home for cocoa.

In the garden after supper, Pip found a balloon that wanted to go somewhere.

They crossed a river that was made of stars and quiet.

The moon grew so large Pip could see the silver dust on it.

They landed as softly as a sock on a rug.

Pip shared a cookie. The moon, being the moon, was an excellent listener.

And the balloon, quite worn out, slept in a teacup by the cocoa.
